So whether you’re in business or not, this is a life till to go by to stay motivated to stay focused. How to stay focused and disciplined in life, so ladies and gentlemen Dwight Jessie.
Good morning people, is your boy Dwight Jessie with the co-host of Nicholas brown podcast show, just up early checking some emails, trying to talk to you for a quick minute. A girl asked me the other day say I was talking about my testimony things like how she should stay focused how she should stay motivated. I told her I didn’t really have no other choice you know. I think the pain is what motivated me but at the same time I had to use discipline and if you study any wealthy person, any successful person, discipline is the main ingredient is success. You gonna be tempted every day in life. But you know you have your heart set on what it is that you’re trying to accomplish. You know, you just going to stay focused. I can remember you know being you know talked to but left out you know how have you gonna see it but you know I had made up in my mind because I knew what I was capable of doing, I knew what I was capable of producing, I knew what was in me you know at the end and a beginning of the day I just trusted God to just really feel a light unto my path. So that man, you know in anything you do you have to discipline yourself.
I was in this program called call back in 97. I got in some trouble you know it was a three-month program but I ended up staying 11 months because I don’t want discipline, I don’t want to follow the rules and only spiritually you know. Discipline is considered to, you know build character so I had this training instructor, he was on my range and a short clear man I had not lacked anything, he came back he said Jessie its greatness in you, you know it was expanding, he was like what you just got learn how to follow the rules. I was hard on it, could tell me nothing I thought I knew it all. And so once I, you know beat down, swallowed my pride and just started to submit. I started to learn, I started to grow I felt myself wrong and I actually got out, You know I came pleading my probation, a lot of people told me I shouldn’t took probation. But if you discipline yourself you know discipline sometimes mean you have to cut yourself off around certain people, you can’t go to certain places you know for some people you can’t even listen to certain type of music you know because you know the windows or the eyes to your soul so you know and your ears.
So whatever you put in your head here is going to reflect down here. So I just wanted to encourage somebody out there man, just stay disciplined even one thing I do every morning when I get up and I know I’m about to leave the house I make up my bed you know it’s a discipline I got, that’s something I learnt in the boot camp. Every morning I get up I make up my bed so when I come home it feels more peaceful to me. So just start by doing that you know make up your bed or you know one thing I got from a friend of mine was young he never folded his clothes he always hung them up all the shirts in one section one all the shorts and pants on one section and you know that was just discipline you know it was discipline to do that because that made him feel good and once you start to find something that you can be disciplined about it will flow over in other areas of your life you know, some people might say making a bed how is it, is just keeping you focused keeping you grounded keeping you to a point to where you know.
You know what this is what I got to do and then you move on to the next one you know I can’t do clutter. So just be encouraged and just remember success is not given, it’s definitely worked for. But in order to be successful you’ve got to have a strict discipline you know so once again it your boy Dwight Jessie the Nicholas brown podcast show, real estate investor, distinguished life coach and also the executive director that I always keep Hope Foundation giving you encouraging words stay disciplined stay focused stay motivated, I believe in you believe in yourself and always keep hope.
